I'm Back!

Yikes! Consistency is something I need to learn! But I am back, and hoping that I have a bit more time. At least for the next seven weeks anyway. Thats right, seven weeks left! I guess seven seems like a pretty small number but these weeks are dragging by, so seven seems like a lifetime to go still! And now with the swelling, each day is a new battle! Poor gummy-bear me! I will survive, just a small pity party there for a second!

Anyway I have been crazy busy since I last wrote! I got together with Cindy and she took some really beautiful maternity photo's for me! It was a really fun shoot and she did such a great job of making me look 400x better than I thought I looked! You can check out her blog to see the rest of the photo's, but here is a little idea of the magic she captured!

Now, off the pregnancy topic, the dance season wrapped up last week with Year-End Show on Thursday and Friday night. It was bitter-sweet to be finishing up for the year! It was a great year but it definitely had its challenges with being pregnant and working with 90 different kids each week! Just like every year I grow so attached to my kids and I just adore watching them grow as little people over the year! It is amazing to see their personality's (and dance abilities) grow and develop over the 10 months I get to work with them. Don't get me wrong there may be a few days here and there that I won't miss, and every parent knows exactly what kind of days I'm talking about, but on the whole I will miss seeing there cute little faces and hearing there ridiculously honest stories every week. I am really hoping to return next year for just a few hours a week. I would love to stay connected with my dancers, parents and co-teachers and I think it will give Sandy a great chance to bond with his son without Mommy around!

After dance wrapped up we had a few weekends of racing! I miss my bike this year but there is always next year! The boys are having a good start to the year and Benson always loves to go watch daddy ride!

Otherwise our time has been dedicated to preparing for baby and of course working on projects around the house! The fence is done so little Chevy has 2 acres to run wild in. She is so happy. I am half-way through my photography course, and I am so glad I decided to take it. I am feeling so much more confident with my camera and I can't wait to put some of my creative ideas to work! Anyway I think thats it for now. Sandy is home from a LONG day of work and I am ready for bed! I will be back soon, I really will.

Looong Weekend

What a fun and long weekend! Even though we didn't go camping we managed to spend alot of time outside, enjoying the sun and mosquito's. After we stopped by the farmer's market on Saturday, we decided to head out to Jurrasic Forest in Gibbons. A fun little place with dinosaurs! Beware the popcorn in snack shop has a serious lack of butter!

Afterwards we had a little visit with some miniature donkeys, which may I add, are alot bigger than I expected. Despite being called miniature I felt like they were pretty big. Check out that cute little ass (haha)

With no shortage of adventure it was off to BUMP the next day! Although there is no riding for me this year I didn't want to miss out on any of the action, so I went along to be the official photographer of the day. I got some really cool pictures but I think after my photography course (coming up in 2 weeks) I will be able to really utilize my camera and take some GREAT shots.

wow my hubby has some great gear! Someone awesome must have picked it out!
I like this shot even though I have no photography skills what-so-ever

Anyway after a long few days, things were a bit more laid back today. After getting up and getting ready I worked with a great photographer, doing a really neat photo shoot that included my pregnant belly. Cindy was alot of fun to work with and she made me feel really comfortable, considering the photo shoot took place in the bathtub. How fun! I will definitely be sharing some photo's once she has finished up with them.  Now that this long weekend is coming to an end it's time to get the house cleaned and finish up laundry. I have about 150 pages left of my current book so I may take a stab at a few chapters tonight! All in all it was a great weekend. I hope everyone enjoyed there weekends just as much!

Bootcamp officially kicked my butt on Thursday night! It is getting harder and harder as I get bigger and bigger, but I am determined to keep working out to the best of my abilities! So many women get put on bed rest that I feel like its a blessing to still be able to work out, so plug on I will!

I had a great day yesterday with Chantelle! We spent the day on Whyte Ave, doing some shopping and having a Julio's lunch date. Afterwards we went to Ikea to load up on furniture for my office/craft room. What a huge help she was, as the bigger I get the less I can do. Its amazing how creative you can be when you are pregnant and losing your independence. Anyhow we got a jeep full of furniture home and put it all together. What's even more ironic is that as I was taking out the old desk I had an inquiry on Kijiji about it, and sold it within the hour! Perfect, I didn't even have to move the desk downstairs into storage! So the craft room is now finished, although I'm not totally satisfied with the shelves we put up I think all in all the room looks really great. Now I don't have to hide this room anymore! I will post some pictures later!

We also had our 3D and 4D ultrasound yesterday (remember this is the rebooked one as last time baby wasn't cooperating) and it was great! Little baby looked so cute, it was such a fun thing to do. It was almost like cheating the system of pregnancy and being able to see what is coming in 10 weeks. TEN weeks that's right 3/4 done! Wooo I cant wait to meet this little guy, sleep on my tummy, and have normal size feet again.  Anyway just started my day with some yummy waffles and we are about to head out to the farmers market!  Looks like it should be another great day!
Have a great weekend everyone

Well I fell off the bandwagon a bit here, 10 days and just no motivation to blog anything! No fear, I am back. The last week and a half I have been keeping busy with dance, finishing up our last set of competitions with my mini's and starting up shows for the preschool program.  It's hard to believe I only have 4 weeks left of teaching dance. The weather has been relatively nice so I have been walking the dogs as much as possible while Sandy has been hard at work on our yard. He spent the entire weekend, last weekend, fencing our 2 1/2 acre lot. What an incredible handy-man! Otherwise I have been working inside the house to finish up things before baby gets here and my time gets more limited! I am working on finishing up the office, which has become more of a craft room than anything! Im hoping to head off to Ikea on Friday and get some furniture to get myself organized. Hopefully then I can cross off all my "home" projects on my to-do list. I have a maternity photo-shoot coming up this weekend that I am so excited about, and of course will share pictures once I have them. oh and just something fun I have gotten into, check out my tumblr! Well thats it for now, have a great long weekend!

Getting Crafty

We had a great 2nd anniversary this weekend! I surprised Sandy with a 3D/4D ultrasound. Unfortunately baby boy was being stubborn like his daddy and had all four appendages covering his face while deep asleep. No matter how many times he was poked and prodded the best we could do was a few yawns here and there! Kindly enough, the ultrasound technician has rebooked us in two weeks when we will hopefully have a bit more success. One things for sure, just like his daddy.

After our ultrasound we went off to the Keg for a delicious dinner, followed by ice cream and movies! We've also been spending alot of time outside in our yard, working on the fence. I absolutely love living on our acreage, with all the wildlife, smells and sounds! Sunday was a busy day with Mother's day and trying to get the house cleaned and feed two of my Mom's! I decided to spend Monday (today) relaxing a bit more. I took care of emails, paperwork and all of that fun stuff that builds up from week to week and afterwards took the dog's for a walk. It is absolutely gorgeous out today. I spent a bit of the afternoon working on some crafty hair bows with what I could find around the house! I think I will stock up on a few items tomorrow so that the next time I am feeling inspired I am not so limited with my supplies. Now it is time to think about dinner and then off to teach a bootcamp class. What a great day!
