Another week has gone by. Alexander is 2 months old today and a whopping 13 lbs. Go team Mommy! Doctor says he is growing way beyond expectation which is great! I think it is definitely helping with his sleep patterns! He slept 7 and a half hours last night! I am loving this!

Onto other things now! We had a great weekend. Other than the fact that I could not straighten my arms due to too many bicep curls on WEDNESDAY, we had lots of fun. Saturday it was pedicure day with Chantelle and Elyse! I love pedicures, a total guilty pleasure. Afterwards we had a block party with our subdivision! It was really nice to get to know everyone in the subdivision and hang out. It really gives you a sense of community when you can name everyone on your street! Anyway we spent Sunday with Chantelle getting things ready for her birthday. We finished off the weekend with a walk and bath and had a really good sleep! Today is a busy day with doctors appointments, immunizations and an impromptu visit to the vet for Chevy. She woke up with a very swollen face. That adventurous dog must have gotten into something she wasn't supposed to!

On the go for the week? Bootcamp, strollercize and the cross trainer! Still working on our mission of pre-baby body! Down 3lbs since last week! Also Daddy promised us swimming this week at some point, and a few visits with friends! Hope everyone has a great week!

Sleep

Well only a week ago, Alexander slept his first 6 hours. What a treat! I was hoping we were onto a new sleep schedule. Well we were but not the one I had hoped for. For the next 4 days he slept like a newborn, up every 2 to 3 hours. Exhausting. But we had a break through, on Tuesday night he slept 7 hours! For the first time I actually woke up before he did. I even checked to make sure he was still breathing! And again last night we had a 6 hour night! I am loving this. I don't want to get to hopeful though, or I will be disappointed when he decides to have another "up all night" night.

I now officially have 15 weeks to get 30 lbs of baby weight off! Yikes, crunch time (literally), I've been hitting the gym hard with bootcamp twice a week, strollercize once a week, and the good ol' basement gym the other three days. And on the seventh day she rested! Anyway it can't just be calories out, I have to be mindful of calories in too! It's been challenging but I am cracking down on what I am eating. I am determined to wear a bikini for this Mexican vacation.

Goal weight!

This is bad, I am getting so neglectful! In my defense we have been busy. But I guess that's life now so I should stop making excuses and just get to this a little more frequently. Since I've last updated we've done a  few things. We went off to Banff with Grandma for a few days at the end of August/ Beginning of September. It's always nice to be in the mountains, but unfortunately we had really cold rainy weather, which doesn't make it easy with a baby. We still had fun though, and it was nice to just get away for a bit.  We also went down to Calgary for a weekend, for our fourth and final baby shower! Spoiled I know. Alexander got a swing which he LOVES and we luckily captured his first reaction to it on video. Too cute.  The rest of our time seems to be filled with appointments, housework and cooking, shopping and of course snuggles! He is getting so big and changing so much. He has already more than doubled his birth weight and he isn't even two months old yet. He focuses on mommy and daddy's face, looks around and explores his surroundings all the time, smiles and giggles and we even had our first 6 hour night. He's growing up so much already.  We went for our first swim with Daddy yesterday and had a great time at the pool!

As for me, I am feeling alot more settled into our routine. There are still times when our plans get turned upside down but for the most part I can predict how things will go and get more done in a day. I managed to get groceries, cook lasagna, tacos, shepherds pie, potato casserole, get a brow wax, visit grandma and spend some time as a family, all in one day! I'm trying to get out and walk everyday as well as bootcamp twice a week. I am hoping to start getting some of this baby weight off since I have a bit to lose (and before January!) And on that note I should head downstairs to the cross trainer and get some working out done before the peanut wakes up from his morning nap!

I will be back sooner than later!
