My Stud Muffins

Well the camper is all ready to go! We leave for the lake in only a few days so we have alot to get done! I got most of the grocery shopping taken care of today. I may have snuck a little nap in there as well! This evening was our bootcamp baby shower! Both Lynne and I (another bootcamp participant) are due within days of each other so bootcamp hosted a baby shower for us! It was so nice of the ladies to come. We played some games and of course ate delicious food! I probably won't be seeing most of the ladies again until September, or whenever I am feeling up to coming back to bootcamp (hopefully that is sooner than later).  Anyway my lovely husband went and picked up our maternity photo's today and they turned out GREAT! Did I mention that we also had pet photo's done? Silly boy Benson got his picture taken too and what a stud he is! I just love him so much, I wonder if he is as cute to other's as he is to me?! I'll let you decide for yourself! Thanks again to Jessica with Vintage Duck Photography, she did an exceptional job!

Slowing Down

Well another week gone by! I am definitely starting to slow down at this point. My entire body is continuing to swell too. Not much I can do but try to rest and elevate alot. It feels so wrong to be on the couch or in bed on a nice sunny day but I am so swollen I can't even get a pair of runners on to take the dogs for a walk! Poor pups and poor mommy haha! I didn't do a whole lot this week as I have slowed down significantly. I just don't have the energy I did a week ago, or the brain power for that matter. Fellow Mom's help me out, is this normal? I feel like I have dropped a few IQ levels in the past few days! Maybe as I gain weight I am killing off brain cells! Yikes, whatever it is I feel so unmotivated to do anything and yet I complain of being bored. Oh brother how that is going to change right away!

I am starting to feel what I think are Braxton Hicks and everyone is telling me baby looks like he has dropped. Could this be a good sign of early instead of overdue labour! If so I am all over that! Anyway Saturday I had an awesome date with Chantelle!! We had some feather extensions put in our hair, went for a delicious breakfast at Cora's and then had a pedicure. The best pedicure I have ever had! Afterwards we went and saw Bad Teacher! It was a pretty funny flick! Anyway my gals have left me for NYC and I hope they have a great trip! On the agenda for me this week: a baby shower with my fellow bootcamp-ers, my last photography class, a visit with the Doctor and my brothers' graduation! Afterwards we will head out to go camping on Thursday morning. I know, I know, am I crazy, camping at 35 weeks pregnant. I figure I'm pretty useless at home might as well be useless at a campground! Anyway I'm sure this week will fly by as usual but I will be back in a week with another update. Hopefully I have some pictures to share from our photoshoot last week! Have a great Canada Day everyone!

Cheeeese

How could I have forgot to mention the amazing baby shower Chantelle had for me last weekend! She did such a great job from decorations, to food and games, to making sure Elyse was able to check in all the way from Thailand via Skype! The guest list was mostly just friends and co-workers as my Mom and Grandma will be hosting one for family in Calgary after baby gets here! For being the first of my friends to have a baby Chantelle did an AWESOME job with the shower! Thank you so much!

For the rest of the week I got carried away with working on the house! Washing all the new baby clothes, cleaning and organizing the house and doing things I know I won't have the time or energy for right away. Near the end of the week I spent alot of time at appointments, getting my hair and nails done and taking Benson to get his hair done. We were getting all pampered for our maternity photo's that we had today! We worked with Jessica of Vintage Duck Photography and we had so much fun! Sandy and Benson got to be part of the pictures and I can't wait to see how they are going to turn out!
Now it is time to put in some Harry Potter (I finally finished the series of books, only took 12 years) and get snuggled into bed!  Have an awesome week everyone!

I'm Back!

Yikes! Consistency is something I need to learn! But I am back, and hoping that I have a bit more time. At least for the next seven weeks anyway. Thats right, seven weeks left! I guess seven seems like a pretty small number but these weeks are dragging by, so seven seems like a lifetime to go still! And now with the swelling, each day is a new battle! Poor gummy-bear me! I will survive, just a small pity party there for a second!
Ice and Elevate
Anyway I have been crazy busy since I last wrote! I got together with Cindy and she took some really beautiful maternity photo's for me! It was a really fun shoot and she did such a great job of making me look 400x better than I thought I looked! You can check out her blog to see the rest of the photo's, but here is a little idea of the magic she captured!

Now, off the pregnancy topic, the dance season wrapped up last week with Year-End Show on Thursday and Friday night. It was bitter-sweet to be finishing up for the year! It was a great year but it definitely had its challenges with being pregnant and working with 90 different kids each week! Just like every year I grow so attached to my kids and I just adore watching them grow as little people over the year! It is amazing to see their personality's (and dance abilities) grow and develop over the 10 months I get to work with them. Don't get me wrong there may be a few days here and there that I won't miss, and every parent knows exactly what kind of days I'm talking about, but on the whole I will miss seeing there cute little faces and hearing there ridiculously honest stories every week. I am really hoping to return next year for just a few hours a week. I would love to stay connected with my dancers, parents and co-teachers and I think it will give Sandy a great chance to bond with his son without Mommy around!

After dance wrapped up we had a few weekends of racing! I miss my bike this year but there is always next year! The boys are having a good start to the year and Benson always loves to go watch daddy ride!

Otherwise our time has been dedicated to preparing for baby and of course working on projects around the house! The fence is done so little Chevy has 2 acres to run wild in. She is so happy. I am half-way through my photography course, and I am so glad I decided to take it. I am feeling so much more confident with my camera and I can't wait to put some of my creative ideas to work! Anyway I think thats it for now. Sandy is home from a LONG day of work and I am ready for bed! I will be back soon, I really will.
